Our Chicken Jerky is made from 100% organic, cage-free chicken with no antibiotics and nothing unnecessary added. Organic chicken is produced under organic standards that restrict certain agricultural chemicals and require organic feed, while cage-free sourcing means the hens are raised without confinement in cages. Choosing chicken raised without antibiotics gives you a simple ingredient you can feel good about, with no routine antibiotic use in the meat. Each piece is carefully sliced and slowly dehydrated at 165°F for approximately 6 hours, creating a naturally delicious, lean and satisfying treat. Made with one simple ingredient and crafted in small batches, it’s real chicken, thoughtfully prepared for your dog.
Dehydration: Raw chicken butcher cut breast is dehydrated at 165 degrees Fahrenheit, for 6 hours.
THIS CHICKEN IS NEVER FROZEN, it is fresh cut and purchased from our local butcher shop. HOWEVER, all of our organ meats are fresh frozen: Frozen Raw to Dehydration to Delivery: All of my butcher cut and prepared foods are cut in small batches, then air-tight sealed and frozen immediately. In a sterilized kitchen working area: once I thaw out meat products, I immediately wash product thoroughly, pat dry, and place in the dehydrator. Once dehydrated, all meat product is inspected and then weighed out properly packaged with a desiccant pack to absorb any additional moisture. Then hand delivered to the buyer within 2 to 3 days of ordering.
